LEGO Star Wars' 25 years of sets feature more than a few niche models that will likely never be touched again, including some recent builds.
As LEGO Star Wars celebrates 25 years of builds, animated series, specials, minifigures and more, it's important to commemorate the most iconic builds in the theme and the sets that frequently appear wave after wave. Similarly, we shouldn't overlook some of the many one-off builds that we're almost certain to never see again in the portfolio.
We're diving deep into LEGO Star Wars history to highlight some of these sets, including a couple that are still available or even coming soon.
10 – 7664 TIE Crawler
Price: £39.99 / $49.99 Pieces: 548 Year: 2007
2007's 7664 TIE Crawler is based on a vehicle seen in the Dark Empire comics that has only ever appeared once in canon in a 2018 book. The vehicle is one of the few Imperial ground units and replicates the design of a TIE Fighter but replaces the wings at the side with tank treads.
It's one of the most unique LEGO Star Wars sets ever designed and given how rare the vehicle is throughout Star Wars history, it seems unlikely that the LEGO Group will ever have a reason to return to the TIE Crawler. Thankfully, it's not impossible to modify a modern LEGO TIE Fighter set to make your own as there are plenty of updated tank tread elements in the current piece portfolio.
9 – 75024 HH-87 Starhopper
Price: £39.99 / $39.99 Pieces: 362 Year: 2013
75024 HH-87 Starhopper from 2013 is based on an arc of The Clone Wars animated series where Obi-Wan Kenobi goes undercover as a bounty hunter after faking his death to investigate a plot against Chancellor Palpatine.
It's surprising to see that the arc received any LEGO sets but 75024 HH-87 Starhopper is undeniably based on these episodes thanks to its selection of minifigures including Rako Hardeen. That arc aired in 2012 and it has only received one LEGO set since as models based on The Clone Wars series specifically are rare in the modern era of LEGO Star Wars.
8 – 75186 The Arrowhead
Price: £84.99 / $89.99 / €89.99 Pieces: 775 Year: 2017
75186 The Arrowhead from 2017 is based on the second season of The Freemaker Adventures. The original LEGO Star Wars story ended in 2017 before a follow-up story arrived in 2018. The Arrowhead may have been a major part of the second season but the LEGO Group has not covered The Freemaker Adventures in a physical set since 2018.
Given the numerous Star Wars projects in the pipeline and the start of the Disney+ series, the LEGO Group may not have the time to return to the original content in the near or far future.
7 – 75204 Sandspeeder
Price: £34.99 / $29.99 / €39.99 Pieces: 278 Year: 2018
75204 Sandspeeder is one of the most interesting LEGO Star Wars sets as it has a surprising history. The Sandspeeder is a variant of the Snowspeeder designed to blend in with the desert instead of snow-covered wastes. It was depicted in the 2014 Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game after first being planned for a cancelled toy line.
To coincide with the set, the Sandspeeder also appeared in LEGO Star Wars: All-Stars, which seems to serve as the primary inspiration for the model. While we're almost certainly never going to get a LEGO Sandspeeder again, it's interesting to know that the theme has covered the Star Wars roleplaying games in at least some capacity.
6 – 75323 The Justifier
Price: £149.99 / $169.99 / €169.99 Pieces: 1,022 Year: 2022
75323 The Justifier was the only model released to tie into the second season of The Bad Batch. Now that The Bad Batch has ended with no sets for its third and final season to date, the chances of this ship being remade in the future are low.
The build was in production for one year and four months before being retired at the end of 2023. The combination of three exclusive pieces for its minifigures, the source material no longer being as relevant as other series and the many sales that the set received before its retirement means it's unlikely to get a second chance.
5 – 75361 Spider Tank
Price: £46.99 / $49.99 / €52.99 Pieces: 526 Year: 2023
75361 Spider Tank from 2023 is inspired by the most recent season of The Mandalorian and was revealed early into the season's release. The new season has been the subject of many LEGO sets so far including two inspired by the finale released this summer.
The season is filled with many exciting moments that have yet to receive sets and now that the Spider Tank has been covered once, we imagine that the LEGO designers would want to turn their attention towards other scenes and episodes. There's no sign that The Mandalorian is slowing down any time soon either with the upcoming movie and there's little doubt that the LEGO Star Wars may be too busy for a Spider Tank remake anytime soon.
4 – 7260 Wookiee Catamaran
Price: £39.99 / $50.00 Pieces: 376 Year: 2005
7260 Wookiee Catamaran from 2005 is one of the few LEGO Star Wars prequel sets based on the battle of Kashyyyk and the planet has received little focus in LEGO Star Wars over the past 25 years.
The unique nature-infused design of the catamaran makes it stand out compared to other LEGO Star Wars sets, which may affect its chances of getting another LEGO Star Wars model over the more recognisable subject matter from the films.
3 – 7672 Rogue Shadow
Price: £48.95 / $49.99 Pieces: 482 Year: 2008
2008's 7672 Rogue Shadow is based on Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The video game was released in 2008 and while it was remastered in 2022, it's not quite as relevant as it used to be and video games are not commonly covered in LEGO Star Wars.

2 – 7680 The Twilight
Price: £68.49 / $99.99 Pieces: 882 Year: 2008
7680 The Twilight is a unique The Clone Wars LEGO set and depicts the ship of the same name first seen in the animated The Clone Wars movie. It has only appeared in the movie and the animated series as well as a short story.
While its design is unique, the Twilight isn't quite the most exciting subject matter for LEGO Star Wars with its monochromatic appearance. The Clone Wars hasn't been revisited fully in LEGO Star Wars' recent years and there's no sign of that changing anytime soon. Should that change, we can't imagine the Twilight being the designer's priority anyway.

This year's
Unless Rebuild the Galaxy is extensively popular, the Dark Falcon is an unlikely contender for multiple LEGO Star Wars sets and it may be worth picking up while you can when it launches in August.
