$300 LEGO Disney set rumoured for April 2025

A new direct-to-consumer LEGO Disney set is rumoured to be on the way later this year, with a price tag of around $300 in the US.

Redditor Clay_Bricks claims that 43263 will debut in April 2025 as this year’s first LEGO Disney direct-to-consumer model, which means that it will only be available to purchase from LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores for at least three months (before potentially going on limited sale at select third-party retailers). Not much else is known about the model at this stage beyond a reported price of $300 (or presumably $299.99) stateside.

That would likely work out to around £259.99 in the UK and €299.99 in Europe, putting it on a par with the likes of 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1, 21344 The Orient Express Train and 10326 Natural History Museum. It’s a fair bit cheaper than 43222 Disney Castle, which comes in at £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 – but Clay_Bricks speculates that 43263 may nevertheless be a large-scale Beauty and the Beast castle.

2023’s 43222 Disney Castle is currently expected to retire in 2025 (despite recently receiving updated packaging to free it from the long-past 100th-anniversary celebrations), so it wouldn’t be especially surprising to see the LEGO Group replace it with another big and expensive castle – though you’d more likely have expected that to happen after 43222 Disney Castle has actually left shelves.

But if 43263 is indeed 25% cheaper than 43222, both of these sets could cater to slightly different audiences and sit happily alongside one another on shelves, even if only for eight months or so. We’ll hopefully learn more about 43263 – including its subject matter and whether it’s hooked to minifigures or mini-dolls – soon, but for now take all these details with the customary grain of salt.
