Biggest LEGO Pokémon set still on back order a month later

Nearly a month after it was launched, the $650 LEGO Pokémon set is still on back order around the world, for up to 60 days in some regions.

Almost a month has flown by since the launch of LEGO Pokémon across three sets on February 27, 2026. Even before release, the first trio of models faced stock issues, but one in particular proved to be much more popular than the rest. Even now – 24 days later – 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise is still on back order.

72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise is by far the biggest set in LEGO Pokémon and one of the largest in the history of the LEGO Group. It features 6,838 pieces for £579.99 / $649.99 / €649.99, depicting the three titular Pokémon on appropriate display bases that can all snap together.

While we had some concerns with the set in our review, it's clear that this set has been a massive hit with the LEGO and Pokémon communities. At least you can still order the set and qualify for any gifts-with-purchase. That would include the current 40890 Easter Decorations until March 26, or while stocks last. They'll just ship out anywhere between two weeks and 60 days from now.

Parts of Europe have the set available for immediate shipping, whereas the UK and the US continue to face a hefty back order period. On the subject of LEGO Pokémon stock, the 40911 Mini Pokémon Center LEGO Insiders reward is now in stock again in the UK. It continues to be unavailable in the US.

Here's the current stock status of the LEGO Pokémon sets launched on February 27, 2026. That's not including the sold-out Kanto badge GWP, which you can make for yourself with the instructions and custom stand-in stickers.
