With 21363 The Goonies landing on shelves in under a week, the long list of LEGO Ideas sets in production has become a bit smaller.
The '80s LEGO Ideas challenge is finally over, now that both 21361 Gizmo and 21363 The Goonies have been revealed. The latter model is the latest LEGO Ideas set to be unveiled, reducing the number of confirmed LEGO Ideas sets in production by one.
While we wait for the results of the first 2025 LEGO Ideas review, which are due in Autumn 2025, here's an updated look at everything confirmed for LEGO Ideas in the future, as well as what's still being considered for a set.
Love Birds

ModularManiac's Love Birds is chronologically the next model to be made, as the grand prize winner of the Build from the Heart challenge. As the contest's name would suggest, this is a build best-suited for a release around Valentine's Day. Unless the LEGO Group want to wait another year, February 2026 is the best time to release this build. It was also approved for a set February 10, 2025, and there's usually at least a year between the models being approved and released.
Floating Sea Otter

Maximilian Lambrecht's Floating Sea Otter will be the most adorable release of the month whenever it finally lands on shelves. The animal recreation has a unique submerged appearance that cleverly incorporates a black display base, and it will be interesting to see what the LEGO Ideas team does with this suggested design.
Snoopy – Campfire

Snoopy is officially joining the LEGO portfolio at some point in the future thanks to Bossofdos64's Snoopy project. It was approved for a LEGO Ideas set at the same time as the otter. While a release at some point this year (or even this month) would be ideal for the 75th anniversary of the character, that seems unlikely with only two full months remaining in 2025.
Sea Serpent

HallowedBrick02's Sea Serpent was crowned as the winner of the Twist of Nostalgia challenge, remaking (but remixing) 6057 Sea Serpent from 1992. This nostalgic submission is now being transformed into a future set, and thanks to the challenge, we know without a doubt that this will be a gift-with-purchase. With 10305 Lion Knights' Castle retiring this year, we can only hope that something else appropriate to buy comes along whenever this build is eventually released.
Tintin - Space Rocket

Tintin has joined Snoopy as another intriguing licensed addition to the LEGO portfolio, thanks to Tkel86's rocket project. While it lacks minifigures, the spaceship is an iconic piece of pop culture and should make for a unique LEGO space set when it inevitably hits shelves. In the meantime, we can only wait excitedly for our first LEGO Tintin set.
LEGO Godzilla

MattE720's Godzilla continues the run of licensed upcoming LEGO Ideas models, promising a huge figure of the iconic monster. The fan designer's pitch for a LEGO Godzilla includes numerous moving parts, with few visible mechanisms, similar to 71847 The Guardian Dragon. When this build one day lands on shelves, it should pair well with the LEGO Modular Building collection and other skyscraper sets.
The X-Files: The Truth Is Out There

After a long road to LEGO X-Files, WetWired is finally approved to work with the LEGO Ideas team and bring fans worldwide a LEGO X-Files set as part of the '90s IP challenge. The 2,020-piece model depicts the basement office with a UFO scene above it. While we don't know what the final build will look like, this initial proposal is already eye-catching. The model even has the thumbs up from a member of the original cast.
Wallace & Gromit

The LEGO Group and Aardman are officially teaming up for Pidelium's Wallace & Gromit project following the Boop campaign. The inventor and loyal dog duo are depicted as brick-built figures on their motorcycle with a sidecar in the submission, which lacks any proposed minifigures.
Vintage Sewing Machine

Leaving the realm of licenses is BrickStability's Vintage Sewing Machine, which won a challenge for life-sized objects made out of LEGO. This model stands out from the rest of the upcoming LEGO Ideas sets, paying tribute to domestic history with elegant decorative details and even miniature spools.
