Brick Search FAQs
Is Brick Search free?
Brick Search is completely free to download – and there are no hidden costs, charges, premium features or ads either.
Buying your LEGO through Brick Search's affiliate links won't cost you anything extra – and with Brick Search's price comparison tool, you could find the best LEGO deal and save money.
What features does Brick Search have?
Brick Search is packed full of features that LEGO fans of every interest and experience level will find useful.
Every LEGO set ever released
Brick Search has a database of every LEGO set ever released – so it’s not just the ones still on sale. So if your LEGO collection boasts sets going back decades, or you want to browse the back catalogue and see what LEGO looked like in the 1960s, Brick Search is the app for you.
Barcode scanner
We’ve all been there – in a store, looking at something we’re thinking of buying, but in the back of our minds there’s a nagging doubt: is this going to be cheaper at that other place down the street?
It’s a real dilemma with LEGO; there are countless places on and offline that sell LEGO sets and one or more of them is likely to have a sale on at any given time. Going from store-to-store or site-to-site to check for every LEGO set you’re considering buying just isn’t practical – after all, you have to find the time to work to pay for your LEGO habit.
That’s where Brick Search’s barcode scanner can help. If a set is on the shelves now, Brick Search’s barcode scanner will be able to read the barcode and show you the price of that set at selected retailers, including LEGO.com. Just open Brick Search, tap the blue button at the bottom of the screen to open the scanner, and point it at the barcode.
The barcode scanner will also work on sets released in the past few years – meaning it is a quick way to find any sets in your collection for which you still have the box and find the building instructions or add them to your collection in the app. Or, scan any sets in someone else’s collection and add them to your wishlist.
Collectible Minifigures Series 25 scanner
Starting with 71045 Series 25, Brick Search can scan the larger data matrix code on a Series 25 box and tell you which minifigure is inside.
The Series 25 boxes each have a data matrix code on the bottom – a smaller one or a larger one. See the image below to work out which code is which. The minifigure scanner works on the larger of the two codes for the Series 25 minifigures.

The minifigure scanner works in much the same way as the barcode scanner – open the app and then the scanner with the blue camera icon, then position the camera over the larger data matrix code. The scanner will read the code and within a few seconds bring up the corresponding minifigure in the app.

That means there's no longer any need to weigh the boxes or carry a list of numbers around with you – all you need is the Brick Search app and a box with the right data matrix code on the bottom.
Build your LEGO wishlist
There’s a lot of ways of keeping track of the LEGO sets you want – a spreadsheet perhaps, or maybe you have dozens of open tabs on your internet browser of choice. There’s the old fashioned way, too – pen and paper. But none of them are completely convenient, which is where Brick Search can help.
Brick Search allows you to build your LEGO wishlist with a single tap of the heart icon. Then the set is added to your wishlist – which you can carry around in your pocket at all times.
Manage your LEGO collection
Similar to the wishlist feature, but for the sets you have rather than the sets you want. It’s just not practical to carry your LEGO collection with you everywhere you go so you can double-check if you’ve got this or that set when browsing an in-store LEGO sale. But once you’ve added your collection to Brick Search, you’ll be able to compare your collection with what’s on the shelves in the time it takes you to get out your phone and open the app.
Adding a set to your collection is straightforward – if you’ve still got the box, then simply scan the barcode and you’ll be taken to that set in the app. Then, just tap the Collection icon. If you don’t have the box, use the search bar to find what you’re looking for.
All the building instructions
Every LEGO set in Brick Search comes with a link to a PDF of the building instructions at LEGO.com, so there’s no need to keep that draw stuffed full of instruction booklets anymore.
Get the best deals on LEGO
LEGO is big business and, as a result, scores of retailers stock LEGO online and on the shelves. That can make it tricky to know you’re getting the best deal available – they’re rarely all in one place online and going from store to store can be a chore.
Brick Search brings the deals to you by incorporating the prices on every set available in shops, allowing you to compare them and see where the best deal is that day.
This feature will be launched shortly – we're just working out the kinks!

Can I import my LEGO collection from another app?
Compatibility with other LEGO apps and ways of managing LEGO collections is something we are working on and hope to be able to introduce fully in the near future.
Can I export my LEGO collection from Brick Search?
You can export your LEGO collection from Brick Search by using the Share Collection button on the Collection page.
Can I share my LEGO wishlist with other people?
You can export your LEGO wishlist using the Share Wishlist button on the wishlist page. This will enable you to send your wishlist to your contacts as a web link, via WhatsApp, email or across your preferred social media platform.
Does Brick Search track my data?
The only data Brick Search tracks is if you click through to one of the retailers through the app – these are affiliate links, and we may receive a commission if you buy anything from a retailer after clicking one of those links. There is no other user data stored by Brick Search.
How does Brick Search differ from other LEGO apps?
Brick Search combines the best of LEGO apps and shopping apps in one place – some apps might allow you to manage your collection, but they won’t tell you where to get the best deals on LEGO. Likewise, some apps will show you where the LEGO deals are, but you can’t manage your LEGO collection. Brick Search has all of that – and more.

Brick Search is not affiliated with the LEGO Group. Brick Search participates in the LEGO UK, US and regional affiliate programmes and affiliate programmes with eBay, Amazon, Zavvi, Disney, Hamleys, John Lewis and others. As a result, Brick Search may earn a commission from qualifying purchases.
