Every scene in LEGO Star Wars 75419 Death Star explained

Take a look at every iconic scene from the original cinematic saga that’s been recreated in brick-built form in LEGO Star Wars 75419 Death Star.

LEGO Star Wars 75419 Death Star was finally officially revealed this week, with the colossal Ultimate Collector Series model comprised of an impressive 9,023 pieces. The Imperial super weapon will be launching on October 1, 2025 for Insiders (everyone else gets a shot from October 4) and includes 38 minifigures, plus its own dedicated GWP.

Packed with details, 75419 Death Star features multiple iconic scenes from A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, as well as a selection of fun Easter eggs for fans to discover. From the crushing trash compactor to Princess Leia’s holding cell in the detention block, here’s every moment from the original movies that the LEGO Star Wars set recreates in brick-built form.

The Emperor’s Throne Room

Located at the top right of 75419 Death Star is the Emperor’s Throne Room, as seen in Episode VI. Similar to the now retired 75352 Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama, this slightly-downscaled section of the LEGO Star Wars set uses the same circular window element introduced in the previous model, a couple of display consoles, a rotating throne and a few simple play features.

SB-920 laser cannon

Right next to the Emperor’s Throne Room is a secret room that contains an SB-920 laser cannon. These weapons could be spotted in A New Hope, blasting away at the attacking Rebel craft during the Battle of Yavin. An exterior panel on the model can be flipped open to allow full access to this section of the build and there’s even room for a couple of minifigures inside.

Death Star Mk 1 Superlaser

On the top left-hand side of 75419 Death Star is the battle station’s Mk1 Superlaser array, which is so large it takes up two floors. Previous versions of the planet-destroying weapon popped up in 10188 Death Star and 75159 Death Star, although the upcoming LEGO Star Wars set seems to be the most detailed to date. It also includes an image of Alderaan on a view screen that can be flipped over to reveal a blasted version of the planet.

Chasm swing

To the centre right of 75419 Death Star‘s third floor is one of the most iconic scenes from A New Hope, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia’s swing across a gaping chasm. While there is a gear to extend the bridge from one side of the drop, the two heroes can make the leap to safety thanks to a handy bar build attached to the roof of this section.

Conference room

Another scene from A New Hope that has been recreated in the LEGO Star Wars UCS set is the conference room on the far right of the upper third floor. A round table has been included, along with eight chairs, so there’s room to place Grand Moff Tarkin and other scheming Imperial minifigures inside, although it can be a bit of a squeeze.

Detention Block AA-23

Moving to the centre left of 75419 Death Star, we can spot Detention Block AA-23 on the second floor, where Princess Leia was being held captive in A New Hope. This section of the LEGO Star Wars model features a removable cell to place minifigures inside, brick-built security scanners and control consoles. The room also provides a handy direct escape route to the trash compactor further down the build.

Turbolift

75419 Death Star’s working turbolift runs the full height of the LEGO Star Wars set and can be operated by a dial on the very top of the set, allowing access to each level of the fearsome battle station. The turbolift can be spotted in multiple scenes in the original movie saga, including Luke Skywalker and Han Solo encountering 5D6-RA-7 while escorting Chewbacca to Detention Block AA-23.

Tractor beam control unit

Below Luke and Leia’s chasm swing can be found Tractor Beam 12 on the second floor, an area of the battle station accessed by Obi-Wan Kenobi to allow the heroes to make their escape. The controls for the Death Star’s tractor beam can be reached via a unit surrounded by a narrow ledge, although there’s sadly no functionalty to this part of the set.

Darth Vader’s meditation chamber

A surprise addition to 75419 Death Star is Darth Vader’s meditation chamber, located on the upper right-hand side of the model’s second floor. This room appears to replicate the same area seen on board the Sith Lord’s Super Star Destroyer, Executor, in The Empire Strikes Back, complete with a glowering hologram of the Emperor on the back wall.

Stormtrooper chase

In the original version of A New Hope, Han Solo and Chewbacca chased after a squad of fleeing Stormtroopers during the Rebels’ escape from the Death Star. That scene was then updated in the Special Edition of Episode IV with a whole hangar bay full of Stormtroopers. The initial corridor section of that scene is included on the lower left-hand side of 75419 Death Star’s first floor, complete with a few sneaky Easter eggs too.

Docking control room 327

Also on the far right of the first floor of the LEGO Star Wars build is a control room that overlooks docking bay 327. This area was infiltrated in A New Hope by Luke Skywalker and Han Solo disguised as Stormtroopers, with 75419 Death Star’s version including a rotatable chair, control panels, blaster storage and even a red coffee cup.

Trash compactor

Multiple versions of the Imperial battle station’s crushing waste disposal room have been recreated as LEGO Star Wars sets, most recently in 75339 Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama in 2022. 75419 Death Star includes a similar (but smaller) area on the lower left of the model’s ground floor, complete with moveable walls, brick-built junk and a tiny pop-up dianoga creature.

Lightsaber duel

Outside the trash compactor is a doorway leading to docking bay 327 and an open area with studs for placing two minifigures. This section of 75419 Death Star allows builders to recreate the scene A New Hope where Darth Vader strikes down his former master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, in a lightsaber battle witnessed by Luke Skywalker.

Docking bay 327

The final section of 75419 Death Star is the largest in the LEGO Star Wars set – docking bay 327. The battle station’s huge hangar takes up two floors, with room for the model’s included Imperial Shuttle and its accompanying GWP, 40771 TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack.

Docking bay 327 was where the Millennium Falcon was captured after being drawn into the station by the Death Star’s tractor beam, but this area of the LEGO Star Wars set can also be used to replicate the arrival of the Emperor in Return of the Jedi.

75419 Death Star will be released on October 1, 2025, for Insiders and for everyone else from October 4. The LEGO Star Wars set is priced at £899.99 in the UK, $999.99 in the US and €999.99 in Europe and is accompanied by 40771 TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack, a free LEGO Insiders GWP available with all purchases of the huge model, while stocks last.
