Expand LEGO Ideas 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine in time for Christmas

The latest list of parts coming to Pick a Brick includes an easy way to expand on LEGO Ideas 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine in time for the holidays.

21358 Minifigure Vending Machine is in the spotlight more than we expected this week. Not only are some of its minifigures a popular subject in Series 9 of the BrickLink Designer Program, but many of its exclusive elements are to be featured in the next batch of Pick a Brick additions later this week.

Look past the pigeon, curved slopes, and minifigure elements in the Autumn 2025 PAB additions list, and you'll find the three hemispherical elements. These are the parts used for the capsules in 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine. There are 16 full capsules in the set to hold the included minifigures, but you can fit many more inside the container, up to at least 24.

Now that these pieces are landing on PAB, you can pick up as many as you want to expand the contents of 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine. Just make sure you pick up one two-stud long Technic axle for each hemispherical piece.

This will make it easier to fit more minifigures in the machine, ready to be dispensed for yourself or guests, but there's now another clear use for 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine ahead of the Christmas season. As we demonstrated earlier this year, you don't just have to put minifigures in the capsules. Miniature models, such as those found in the advent calendars, will fit perfectly in the spheres as well.

Now that you'll be able to fill 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine with 24 capsules, this offers a new way for fans to enjoy their annual LEGO advent calendar beyond just opening the numbered doors. Instead, you can create a more randomised experience by placing the contents of each door into a capsule, be they minifigure or models.

Turn the crank and you'll have a random model for each day of the Christmas season. This would mean spoiling the contents of each door, but you can always ask someone to fill the capsules for you and save the surprise. Alternatively, you can use the contents of an older advent calendar to create a randomised experience this holiday season and count down to the holidays in the same way.

It only adds to the value of 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine, which we praised in our thorough review. 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine is available now as are the annual range of LEGO advent calendars. Check out our original report to see what else is coming in the Autumn 2025 LEGO PAB update.
