First codes for 71049 LEGO F1 Collectible Race Cars found, so what’s next?

First codes for 71049 LEGO F1 Collectible Race Cars found, so what’s next?

Brick Search has been able to find an almost complete complement of scannable codes for 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars – now we need your help to verify them.

Thanks to some internet detective work, Brick Search has sourced scannable codes from the United States, where some copies of 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars have already gone on sale.

What we don’t yet know is if these codes are uniform across America – so if you’re on that side of the Atlantic Ocean and see F1 Collectible Race Cars on the shelves, try scanning the code on the base of the box with Brick Search’s minifigure box scanner and then get in touch with us.

We want to know if the codes worked for you or if they didn’t – either response would be helpful at this early stage of the F1 Collectible Race Car hunt. You can email in your findings to andrew@tiromedia.co.uk.

If you don’t get any results with Brick Search’s minifigure box scanner and want to be particularly helpful to your fellow LEGO fan, you could send over images of the codes on the base of the box. That will allow us to add those scannable codes to our database so they will work for anyone else who comes across them.

Past Collectible Minifigure releases with scannable codes – dating back to January 2024 – have seen a number of different scannable codes through the life of a series, as well as variations in scannable codes depending on where the minifigures were produced and packaged.

We haven’t yet seen or heard examples of 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars being on sale outside of the United States either. So if they’ve found their way into stores early where you are, we’d like to know that too – and see if the codes we have already work, and if not, to add the new ones to the database as well.

71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars will officially be released on May 1. The series is made up of 12 cars – the 10 Formula 1 teams, one for the F1 Academy and one F1-branded car – and again comes in blind box packaging.  An individual box costs £3.49 / $4.99 / €3.99.

The minifigure box scanner within the Brick Search app allows LEGO fans to find out what car is inside the box before buying it, so F1 collectible collectors can save money by only buying the cars they want.

Brick Search is available for both iOS and Android devices and Brick Search Plus members get unlimited use of the minifigure box scanner to aide their hunt for the F1 Collectible Race Cars they want. A Brick Search Plus membership is £1.99 / $2.99 per month or £19.99/ $29.99 per year and members also get access to the Brick Search Plus Discord server, Brick Search Plus newsletter and Brick Search Plus' archive of more than 10,000 LEGO sets to add to their collection or wishlist.
