First look at LEGO Star Wars 2021 set 30388 Imperial Shuttle

LEGO Star Wars fans can get a first look at the brand new 30388 Imperial Shuttle in an early review.

The 85-piece set is the sole LEGO Star Wars polybag revealed for 2021 so far. It's not yet clear how it will be distributed around the world – polybags tend to vary by market – but YouTuber MandRproductions has managed to secure an early copy of the model.

He's now published a review of the mini-model to his channel, giving us a first look at the smaller Imperial Shuttle coming next year. Ryan takes issue with the shaping of the cockpit, but concludes that the 85 pieces assemble into a worthy representation of the iconic Star Wars craft.

"In general I think this is actually a really good polybag," he says. "It makes a lot of sense to pick up to me for $5, especially with a bigger version coming from March 2021 as a LEGO Star Wars set. I think this is a fine addition to the polybag collection for LEGO Star Wars."

It's the third polybag-sized model of the ship, following on from 2014’s 30246 Imperial Shuttle and a Brickmaster magazine build. And its presence in the 2021 polybag line-up makes sense, given – as Ryan mentions – a larger version of the ship is also due to launch in the first half of the year.

75302 Imperial Shuttle will deliver a more cost-effective version of the vehicle, in line with the smaller – and cheaper – 75300 Imperial TIE Fighter and 75301 Luke Skywalker’s X-wing Fighter.
