First look at new LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog, City and Minecraft 2025 sets

First look at new LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog, City and Minecraft 2025 sets

The LEGO Builder app has revealed the first images of three new LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog, City and Minecraft sets on the way in 2025.

The first day of the month is typically a big day for new LEGO set reveals, but the official LEGO Builder app has jumped the gun on February 1 by publishing images of a trio of unrevealed sets. These will presumably be available from March 1, but concrete release dates have yet to be confirmed – the app just shows set names and images at the moment.

Check out all three new sets below, and don’t forget to bookmark our LEGO 2025 sets page for the latest and most complete list of every new release this year.

40781 Badnik: Crabmeat

Theme: Sonic the Hedgehog Price: TBC Pieces: 181 Release date: TBC 2025

LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog 40791 Badnik Crabmeat 1024x712

This unusually-numbered LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog seems likely to be a future gift-with-purchase, but could also simply be exclusive to LEGO Stores/LEGO.com. Either way, 40781 Badnik: Crabmeat is as close as we’ve come to a pure Sonic display set since 77000 Shadow the Hedgehog.

60449 Off-Road Police Car Chase

Theme: City Price: TBC Pieces: 467 Release date: TBC 2025

Do you know what LEGO City doesn’t have enough of at the moment? Police. Oh, and criminals. Police and criminals. Thankfully, 60449 Off-Road Police Car Chase is on the way to plug that particular gap in the portfolio. This 467-piece set does look pretty fun to be fair, bundling in three vehicles, four minifigures, a drone, a safe and even a catapult of sorts.

21282 The Parrot Houses

Theme: Minecraft Price: TBC Pieces: 535 Release date: TBC 2025

All eyes may be on A Minecraft Movie’s newly-revealed LEGO sets at the moment, but the LEGO Group hasn’t forgotten about the theme’s traditional video game roots. 21282 The Parrot Houses serves up a couple of cute brick-built birds alongside giant house-shaped feathery friends, then throws a few minifigures in the mix for good measure.
