How to build the LEGO you want – without paying the high prices

Want to build more LEGO sets but don’t want to pay the high prices involved? There may now be a solution…

While covering every inch of your house in LEGO sets is great, the real meat of this hobby is building them in the first place (or else we’d all be collecting statues). But what if you could build sets without having to pay their high upfront costs, and without having to find room to display them? That’s the elevator pitch for Brick Borrow, a service that allows LEGO fans to borrow sets, build them and return them for something new.

We’ve seen this business model come and go a few times over the past few years, but Brick Borrow is the latest to take a crack at lending out LEGO sets – and it’s making a real success of it. Thousands of subscribers have already joined up in the UK, and we’ve now partnered with the team and will be testing out and showcasing what they’ve got to offer in the weeks ahead.

There are three different subscription tiers available: the Mystery Set plan costs £9.99 per month and includes (as the name suggests) one mystery set to build per month. The Builder plan costs £14.99 per month and allows you to build unlimited sets of your choice, borrowing and returning one at a time, while jumping up to the Master plan for £24.99 per month allows you to borrow two sets a time.

The price includes Royal Mail Tracked 48 shipping, and you can keep the sets as long as you like (so there’s no rush to build them within a few days). You can also upgrade to annual versions of each plan to save a little extra cash.

Brick Borrow’s LEGO library spans more than 900 different sets, from heavy hitters like 75367 Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser and 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D to recent releases such as 72152 Pikachu and Poké Ball and 76344 Iron Man Mark 3 Collectors’ Edition. New sets are added regularly, so if you fancy putting those together but not paying the high prices for them, this could be the solution.

Head over to Brick Borrow’s website to browse sets, sign up and start building today.

You can support the work that Brick Fanatics does by purchasing those sets you do want permanently in your collection using our affiliate links – thanks.
