The next LEGO Icons car is rumoured to be a large-scale take on a ‘70s classic in 10337 Lamborghini Countach, racing on to shelves later this year.
First produced by Lamborghini in 1974, the Countach is easily one of its most iconic cars, popularising the Italian manufacturer’s distinctive wedge shape and already earning itself a coveted spot in the LEGO Speed Champions portfolio (see 76908 Lamborghini Countach). The LEGO Group is now rumoured to be tackling the roadster at a much larger scale later this year.
That’s according to Instagram user itavixbrix (via Brick Clicker), who reports that 10337 Lamborghini Countach will be shifting into gear on July 1. The car is said to include 1,506 pieces and will apparently retail for $179.99. That places it between last year’s 10321 Corvette, which came in at $149.99 for 1,210 pieces, and 10317 Land Rover Classic Defender 90, which costs $239.99 for 2,336 pieces.

It’s reasonably safe to assume that the car will be to scale with both of those vehicles, along with the rest of the LEGO Creator Expert/Icons garage, which already includes classics like 10265 Ford Mustang and 10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. And while the source of this rumour hasn’t suggested a specific colourway or model, the safe money is on a white 1985 LP5000 QV, which – with its rear spoiler, Miami Vice paint job and reshaped air intakes – is the quintessential Countach for most people.
We’ll hopefully learn more about 10337 Lamborghini Countach (if it really does exist) in the weeks and months to come, but for now take this rumour with the customary grain of salt. And don’t forget that a very good Creator Expert-scale Countach is technically already achievable thanks to 10295 Porsche 911…
