LEGO 2K Drive Season 3 live now with new free rewards

Season 3 of LEGO 2K Drive’s Drive Pass is now live, revving into gear with 23 free rewards, 99 premium rewards, a custom rules mode and more.

The third of four seasons lined up for its first year of additional content, LEGO 2K Drive’s equivalent to Fortnite’s Battle Pass and Rocket League’s Rocket Pass offers the chance to earn new rewards simply by playing the game. As you earn Drive Pass XP and Brickbux (the title’s in-game currency) you’ll progress through tiers and unlock new free and/or premium rewards, depending on whether you’ve purchased the premium pass.

Owners of the Year 1 Drive Pass will already have access to the premium Season 3 pass, but it’s also available for individual purchase if you’d prefer to dive in separately. The new season delivers 100 tiers to play through, in which you can earn 23 free rewards – including four vehicles, five brick packs, five drivers and more – and 99 premium rewards, including an additional nine vehicles, 25 brick packs, 10 drivers, six flairs, eight sounds, 26 stickers and more.

Season 3 also adds timed tasks, which offer ways to earn XP even faster through daily and weekly objectives; a custom rules mode that allows players to modify settings when playing with friends in multiplayer; reverse races to drive specific tracks backwards; and a new part locator tool for the garage that allows players to search for elements using their ID numbers.

You’ll need to head to the Drive Pass menu and specifically select Season 3 to start earning these rewards, because LEGO 2K Drive works a little differently to most of its contemporaries: none of its seasons are time-limited, which means you can race through them at your own pace. That’s good news for anyone coming to the game now, such as PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers, who can download 2K Games’ first LEGO title at no extra cost in December.
