The LEGO Group has confirmed the new release date and time for the delayed Insiders reward 40786 Micro Command Center – along with an increase in the number of points required to redeem it.
The microscale LEGO Space set was originally due to go live at the Insiders Rewards Centre on March 1 for a cost of 2,000 Insiders points, but failed to materialise as planned. Following initial confirmation of its delay, the LEGO Group has now revealed via the LEGO Ambassador Network that FlyingUFO’s monorail-inspired design will be available to redeem from roughly 4pm GMT on March 3, 2025.
It will now require 2,250 points to redeem, however – or 250 more than originally planned. The LEGO Group has not shared any further information on the reason for the increase, nor whether that was the cause of the initial delay. You’ll need to spend just over £280 at LEGO.com to earn enough points for this reward, and 2,250 points can otherwise be redeemed for around £14 in cash towards future purchases.
If you’ve been holding off on purchasing new March 2025 LEGO sets to redeem the 214-piece 40786 Micro Command Center, you should find it live in the Insiders Rewards Centre roughly three hours after this story was first published (so it may be live by the time you’re reading this – hello to future you if so). Remember that you can only redeem one physical reward per order at LEGO.com.
The companion piece to 2024’s 40712 Micro Rocket Launchpad is the result of a LEGO Ideas contest, and includes a micro Classic Space astronaut to drive its monorail. You can see how 40786 Micro Command Center compares to the original contest entry by heading here.
