LEGO Insiders reward 6533581 Tic Tac Toe sees the LEGO Group ‘pay homage to the much-loved game, Tic Tac Toe', etcetera etcetera... look, it’s all about the Classic Space minifigures.

Of which there are 10 included in 6533581 Tic Tac Toe – five white and five orange to use across a neat little board to indeed play out Tic Tac Toe. It’s a simple recreation of the game in LEGO form, which is all it needs to be, with most attention on that collection boost of 10 Classic Space minifigures.

They come with the correct redesigned classic helmet design, but curiously with visors included, and no airtanks. Also, they all have the one face print, which disappointingly isn’t the classic LEGO minifigure smiley face that all Classic Space minifigures otherwise have.

So, an imperfect but sizeable line-up of desirable minifigures populates 6533581 Tic Tac Toe, which is available from LEGO Black Friday – November 29 – while stocks last, as a redeemable reward at the LEGO Insiders Rewards Centre for a price of 2,400 Insiders points. That’s an amount of points earned through the LEGO loyalty program from a spend of £300, and an amount of points that can otherwise be redeemed for £15 off a future LEGO.com or LEGO store purchase.

Is that a fair price? If you were to pick up 10 Classic Space minifigures from the online Pick a Brick store – five white, five orange – and include airtanks and the correct classic smiley face then it would cost £23. A little more money but a more complete collection. So, the equivalent of £15 for 6533581 Tic Tac Toe is pretty fair, all things considered. It depends on whether there’s enough of what you want from what’s inside the box, versus picking exactly what you want from elsewhere for a little extra.

6533581 Tic Tac Toe is available from November 29 while stocks last as a redeemable reward at the LEGO Insiders Rewards Centre, for 2,400 Insiders points.
