Gold LEGO Batman minifigure taps into familiar anniversary trend

There’s one thing that a handful of recent LEGO anniversary sets have in common, the inclusion of exclusive golden collectible minifigures.

The LEGO DC theme recently revealed a quartet of upcoming sets based around the Dark Knight, with the four models all due to launch March 1, 2026. That’s the date when LEGO Batman fans will be able to pick up 76330 Batman Logo, 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile, 76332 The Batman Batmobile and 76333 Batman & Robin Batmobile, all of which include codes for exclusive digital content.

Of note when it comes to next year’s LEGO DC releases is 76330 Batman Logo, a 678-piece build that comes with a regular Batman minifigure and a special golden variant. The good news for collectors is that the latter joins an ongoing trend for LEGO anniversary celebrations, thanks to a unique print on the back of the character’s torso.

It’s a familiar look that has already been previously explored by the LEGO Harry Potter theme, thanks to nine collectible golden minifigures with connectible bases that released throughout 2021. LEGO NINJAGO also marked the theme’s 10th anniversary in 2021, with seven golden minifigures for collectors to hunt down, although seven LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary  minifigures from 2024 went with a different look altogether.

Whether LEGO NINJAGO’s upcoming 20th anniversary minifigures will follow suit with yet another golden makeover has yet to be revealed. There’s also no word at this stage if any additional gold LEGO DC figures might pop up in 2026, but at least fans will be able to try out at three golden Batmobiles in next year’s LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
