One long-awaited minifigure released in 2024 could add extra weight to a rumoured LEGO Disney set said to be coming in 2025.
Last year, LEGO Disney welcomed 21352 Magic of Disney, bringing four Disney characters out as minifigures for the first time: Geppetto, Bruno, Lilo and Belle. Several months on, rumours are starting to suggest that at least one of those minifigures might have been tactical designs from the LEGO Group.

A lot of the aesthetic decisions about which minifigures to feature and what new elements to create come down to budget, as with any company the size of the LEGO Group.
“We can’t make everything decorated. We can’t change every brick into every colour,” LEGO Ideas Design Manager Jordan Scott explained in a 2023 interview with The Verge. “Otherwise the portfolio would just explode in complexity, so we have teams that manage the complexity level."
To balance the need for new parts and prints with not bankrupting the company, LEGO designers are all assigned a number of ‘frames’. When they need a part in a new colour, a whole new piece, or to bring an older piece back out of retirement, that costs them a frame, which comes out of their annual budget
“If I have five products or 10 products coming out, I need to allocate where those frames go,” continued Scott.
This also logically applies to minifigures, so when bringing out new minifigures, it can be a smart idea to see where else in the LEGO system they might slot in. In the case of 21352 Magic of Disney, there are two rumoured LEGO Disney sets that could benefit from the minifigures. Just today, we've had fresh reports of a $300 D2C Disney set that might be based on the castle from Beauty and the Beast.

That could have been an extra deciding factor to include Belle in 21352 Magic of Disney. Seeing as the book-loving character hadn't ever been created as a minifigure (only as a mini-doll), featuring her in a diverse Disney cast ahead of her very own castle set could have killed two birds with one yellow-dressed stone.
Of course, that's only speculation for now and we won't know for sure if Bella is about to appear again in her own set until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group. For now, take this theory and the rumoured details below with the usual pinch of salt.
