LEGO Formula 1 Oscar Piastri helmet rumoured for 2026

Another LEGO Formula 1 helmet is rumoured to be on the way this year, potentially bringing McLaren into the mix with Oscar Piastri.

Two LEGO Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 helmets were officially revealed earlier this week, expanding the cross-theme helmet collection with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc’s respective headgear. Instagram user lego_minecraft_goat now reports in a new Story that 43017 McLaren Oscar Piastri Helmet will debut sometime in 2026, possibly alongside the Ferrari helmets, for $89.99 / €89.99.

That price tag matches 43014 Scuderia Ferrari HP Charles Leclerc Helmet and 43022 Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet, both of which will also retail for £79.99 in the UK when they debut on May 1. We’ll have to wait for official confirmation of Piastri’s helmet from the LEGO Group (and in the meantime take it with a grain of salt), but if it does exist as rumoured it’s fair to expect it to also include a Piastri minifigure.

Both the Ferrari helmets include minifigures of their corresponding drivers, marking each of their debuts in LEGO form, and they’ll make for neat upgrades for your LEGO Speed Champions Formula 1 collection (given those cars otherwise include generic driver minifigures).

There’s no word yet on whether we can expect a Lando Norris helmet to round out the current roster of McLaren drivers, in the same way that the LEGO Group is releasing helmets for both Ferrari drivers side-by-side. But we wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen: Norris is the more decorated of the two McLaren racers, having won the Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship in 2025.

These helmets are all launching under the LEGO Editions banner alongside a handful of football-themed sets. Check out the full 2026 slate as it stands below.
