The first whispers of next year’s LEGO Harry Potter line-up suggest we’ll be revisiting tried and tested concepts in 2024 across multiple remakes, one of which may be a new Ford Anglia.
While potential set names for select 2024 themes – such as Star Wars and Marvel – have already started to emerge, we’re still waiting to hear exactly what to expect from the Wizarding World’s first wave. All we know at the moment (courtesy of brickmerge.de) is that a total of seven sets are currently scheduled to debut in March, one of which will apparently be the theme’s cheapest 18+ model.
According to Brick Clicker, however, much of the next LEGO Harry Potter wave will consist of ‘remakes’. The usually-reliable source has teased imminent rumours over on Eurobricks, advising Potter-heads not to get their hopes up for ‘anything mind-blowing’ among the March 2024 range. Further details are few and far between at this point, but Instagram user mtdbricks claims one of the sets will be a new, standalone Ford Anglia.
The flying car that Harry and Ron used to journey to Hogwarts in the Chamber of Secrets has appeared plenty of times across LEGO Harry Potter’s storied history, most recently at minifigure scale in 2020’s 75968 4 Privet Drive (which is finally scheduled to retire by the end of this year). This would be the first time the LEGO Group has sold it on its own, though.

Given it’s not a huge vehicle, it’s easy to imagine any standalone Ford Anglia filling in one of the two cheapest LEGO Harry Potter sets supposedly on the way in 2024. 76424 is said to come in at 165 pieces for €14.99, while 76425 includes 337 pieces for €19.99. If the Anglia matches the style of its predecessors, 165 pieces would be enough to work with – while 337 pieces would open it up to a Speed Champions-style eight-wide build.
That’s probably the most interesting concept for a car we’ve seen time and again, and would introduce a whole new audience – that of Speed Champions – to the Wizarding World. But it’s worth taking any word of a new Ford Anglia with a particularly large pinch of salt, as mtdbricks has really yet to be proven as a source (though perhaps tellingly, Brick Clicker has not refuted the claim).
If other remakes really are on the way in 2024, it’s practically impossible to predict what the LEGO Group could have in store – but it’s been a few years since our last Aragog, Hagrid’s Hut and Knight Bus, so any of those hallmarks of the Harry Potter universe feel like credible candidates. For now, check out the first details on the LEGO Harry Potter 2024 sets in the table below.
