LEGO Ideas launches new Treasure Quest challenge contest

There’s a chance to win some great prizes in a new LEGO Ideas challenge competition that’s looking to take builders on a special Treasure Quest.

The LEGO Ideas team has launched yet another fun challenge, this time throwing down the gauntlet for builders to submit their own original creations in a unique contest. For the latest competition, the aim is to assemble a brick-built dream treasure hunt based around the definition of just what the word ‘treasure’ means to you.

The details of the Treasure Quest challenge note that submitted models can be anything from pirate gold and fine jewellery to a sentimental family trinket or even a cherished childhood teddy bear.

The LEGO Ideas contest has even provided some handy hints that budding builders might want to take into consideration, such as creating a story around your own personal treasure, making a big or small adventure, and ensuring that your hunt for booty isn’t based on any existing IPs.

The LEGO Ideas challenge also suggests adding clues to your brick-built submissions, which could potentially be a vault with hints to its combination written on the side or even a room filled with hidden keys to unlock the ultimate treasure inside.

The building phase of the Treasure Quest challenge is open until January 21, 2026, with the judging panel then revealing the results of the competition on February 12. Five lucky Grand Prize winners will each get a copy of 21363 The Goonies, 21058 Great Pyramid of Giza and 21362 Mineral Collection for their hard work.
