LEGO Ideas switches onto The Truman Show with 10K supporters

The latest LEGO Ideas submission to make it into the second review of 2025 is The Truman Show, based on the hit Jim Carrey reality TV movie.

Yet another fan-designed creation has squeezed its way into the ever-expanding second LEGO Ideas review of 2025. This time it’s the turn of The Truman Show by Bohm Brickzz, a nearly 2,000-piece build spinning out of the Jim Carrey film released in 1998, and one that takes a novel approach to its subject matter.

The LEGO Ideas model features a modular retro-style TV shell, complete with opening front and back compartments, plus interactive volume dials and antenna. The main screen recreates one of the key scenes in the movie, with Carrey’s Truman Burbank in front of his picturesque house, shortly after a stage light has mysteriously crashed from the sky.

The rear of The Truman Show build opens up to reveal a second scene, this time showing a microfigure of the film’s blissfully unaware protagonist standing on a staircase next to a sky-painted wall with door, representing the figurative and literal boundary of his artificially-created reality TV show world.

Also tucked away within the front of the LEGO Ideas model is a small control room complete with a minifigure of Ed Harris’ director, Christoff, watching Truman’s every move. The fan creation is rounded out with a minifigure of Truman Burbank himself, complete with alternate face and printed torso.

The Truman Show becomes the 109th LEGO Ideas submission to make it into the second review of 2025, but it’s anyone’s guess at this stage as to which builds will make it any further.
