LEGO.com reviews of the summer Star Wars wave are damning

A handful of the LEGO Star Wars summer sets are being pulled apart in reviews on LEGO.com, and you can probably guess which ones…

The summer 2025 LEGO Star Wars range is very much a tale of two halves, and that’s demonstrated nowhere better than in reviews on LEGO.com itself. While 75430 Wicket the Ewok and 75434 K-2SO are being lauded for their relatively good value and fine design work, the Clone Wars sets aren’t faring so well. 75413 Republic Juggernaut currently has a rating of 1.2/5 from 168 reviews. Only 4% of builders would recommend it.

That’s a damning statistic for the newest Turbo Tank, which has come under heavy fire for its stratospheric price tag and comparatively tiny vehicle. “This is by far the most overpriced set I’ve seen on shelves and I’ve been collecting since around 2015,” one reviewer says, while another adds: “The build feels unstable in some areas which makes it not great for play. For $160 I expect much better from LEGO.”

75431 327th Star Corps Clone Troopers Battle Pack – which represents a $15 bump in price on last year’s 75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack – isn’t faring much better. Currently sitting at 1.5/5 stars from 70 reviews, only 11% of reviewers would recommend the 258-piece set. In this case, most of the criticism is laser-focused on the price, with several reviews attesting the builds are good or even great.

“The set itself is decent enough but the pricing is absolutely ludicrous,” one builder writes. “No one who values their money should be buying this set unless it massively goes on sale. It doesn’t make sense how in the span of one year the price of one of these larger battle packs jumps from $30 to $45.” Another puts things a little more succinctly: “LEGO continues to squeeze its community for as much money as possible and continuous record profits.”

75435 Battle of Felucia Separatist MTT, meanwhile, is performing well by comparison at 2.4/5 stars and a 35% recommendation rating. Emphasis on ‘by comparison’, because those are still poor statistics for the £139.99 / $159.99 / €149.99 set. And that price again underlines the majority of the criticism of what’s otherwise hailed as an ‘aesthetically amazing’, ‘solid’ and ‘cool’ model.

“The set is really cool design wise, but the lack of a weapon rack and the fact that it only houses six droids is a bummer – not to mention the absurdly high price,” one reviewer, who gave the MTT three stars out of five, says. “Overall it’s probably the best set of the summer 2025 wave. It’s just too expensive.”

The final Clone Wars set of the summer range, 75432 V-19 Torrent Starfighter, represents another jump in ratings at 3.6/5 from 12 reviews. But what’s telling about that set and the rest of the Star Wars August 2025 wave is how few reviews they have by comparison: the LEGO community is voicing its dissatisfaction with the high prices of the worst offenders of this assortment, focusing on those above all else.

75433 Jango Fett’s Starship has a 3.5/5 rating, with criticism again concentrated on the price tag, while from there it’s a significant leap to the rest of the summer wave. 75414 The Force Burner Snowspeeder has four stars out of five; 75434 K-2SO is rated at 4.8/5; 75417 AT-ST Walker has a score of 4.9/5; and 75430 Wicket the Ewok has a perfect five-star rating (albeit from only two reviews).
