LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog 2025 sets revealed

A new Sonic Central event has revealed two upcoming LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets as well as a rumoured minifigure.

Sonic Central for September 2024 has just wrapped up and the LEGO Group has teamed up with SEGA to reveal two new upcoming LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets coming next year. This includes a surprisingly deep cut to Sonic Adventure 2 and another opportunity to pick up the Super Sonic minifigure.

“Every year we try to make Sonic Central bigger and better than ever before, and this year is no exception, " said Frédéric Roland Andre, designer at the LEGO Group.

"We’re delighted to introduce Sonic and LEGO fans to our latest ranges, bringing to life beloved heroes like Super Sonic and Shadow, as well as iconic villains like Biolizard, allowing them to bring to life their favourite characters and moments from the screen into the physical world of play.”

A third LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog set is rumoured for 2025 too but at the time of writing, it has not been revealed or confirmed.

77001 Sonic’s Campfire Clash

The smallest of the two newly revealed sets is 77001 Sonic’s Campfire Clash. It includes one minifigure of Sonic, three rings, a launcher, a campfire and buildable G.U.N. Beetle and G.U.N. Hunter figures.

The highlight of this for many is likely to be the latter two figures as well as Sonic's new angry face print. That said, it's slightly overshadowed by today's other reveal. You can find it on shelves starting January 1 for £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99.

77003 Super Shadow vs. Biolizard

Price: £39.99 / $44.99 / €44.99 Pieces: 419 Release date: January 1, 2025

77003 Super Shadow vs. Biolizard is the standout announcement from Sonic Central, calling back to the Sonic Adventure 2 boss that is about to return in Sonic X Shadow Generations. The Biolizard figure comes complete with weak spots to hit, stud launchers and posable limbs.

A launcher for the two minifigures is also included but the best part of the set is the minifigures. Super Shadow is debuting in this set and Super Sonic is back after featuring in 76999 Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster. It launches on January 1, 2025, for £39.99 / $44.99 / €44.99.
