LEGO Star Wars 2025 Kylo Ren shuttle almost fixes the wings

After a decade of LEGO Star Wars Kylo Ren shuttle sets, the wings have been almost entirely fixed in a set with more than 100 pieces.

The sequel trilogy's Upsilon-class command shuttle, or Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle, is finally getting a new set next month with 75406 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle and it fixes one of the biggest issues in the bigger models of this unique Star Wars ship.

Aside from the three smallest LEGO Kylo Ren Command Shuttle models, there has always been an issue with accuracy. In the first polybag and set released to tie into The Force Awakens, the ship was coloured grey instead of black and its wings are fixed in an upright position.

This was quickly remedied for The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, but in all but a handful of the smallest builds of the shuttle, the wings can't angle nearly as far as they need to in order to be fully accurate. Thankfully, the LEGO Star Wars design team is finally fixing this in a set with more than 100 pieces next month.

As noted in our in-depth review of the May 2025 LEGO Star Wars set, the wings in 75406 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle now allow them to be angled at 45-degree angles, finally offering a detailed model of the ship that amends this accuracy error after a decade.

This comes at the cost of the wings in 75406 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle not being able to retract and fold in on themselves for landing. A fully accurate Upsilon-class command shuttle is still something the LEGO Star Wars community will have to wait for. In the meantime, the sequels are back in LEGO Star Wars next month with both 75406 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle and 75415 Kylo Ren Helmet.
