A LEGO store is giving away one of the biggest Pokémon sets

LEGO Certified Stores have been known to host exclusive deals, but there's never been one quite as crazy as a free 72152 Pikachu and Poké Ball.

Whether it's more sales than their more official counterparts or a collection of region-exclusive gifts-with-purchase, LEGO Certified Stores often have some rare offers for fans in regions that don't have as many or any official LEGO shops. These stores are owned and operated by an authorised partner that has an agreement with the LEGO Group, and have access to exclusive sets.

This partnership means that they can offer their own deals, including a free 72152 Pikachu and Poké Ball when you pick up 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. You read that correctly, the LEGO Certified Store in Australia is giving away the second-biggest LEGO Pokémon model when you purchase the first-biggest build in the theme.

The 6,838-piece 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise costs $999.99 in the region, and would have come with a free 312-piece 40892 Kanto Region Badge Collection at launch. Patient Pokémon enthusiasts with the store's free VIP membership can now score the 2,050-piece model instead.

That build usually costs another $299.99 in Australia, and is certainly better value than the Kanto model. The store hasn't mistaken one set for another on the banner, either. Adding the two big builds to your basket will see the smaller of them reduced in price entirely.

It's a genuinely great deal for some of the most popular models on the market right now, and has us wishing that the official online store would follow in their footsteps. We've even added both of the builds to a basket and can verify that the banner is correct. It doesn't intend to offer the original badge GWP; instead, they're really giving away a $300 build.

While the rest of us watch jealously from the sidelines, fans worldwide can at least enjoy double points on both 72152 Pikachu and Poké Ball and 72151 Eevee on LEGO.com, with a returning gift-with-purchase that varies between regions. In Australia, it's an African savanna set, and it's a Fortnite BrickHeadz duo in other regions.
