After yesterday's reveal that 23 more
LEGO BrickHeadz will be released this year, the speculation about the possible characters continues.
It was
announced yesterday that at least 23 more
LEGO BrickHeadz characters will be released this year, with Brick Fanatics
tracking which ones have been announced and which have been rumoured so far. The list narrowed down the unknown characters to just 10, but it is unclear if that is 10 slots for characters, or 10 sets – the two packs confuse matters slightly.
A bit more digging has revealed which pop culture favourites might be appearing in this collectible
LEGO line, starting with a Tweet in reaction to the Brick Fanatics article.
Some of the names mentioned by Jacen match up with speculation on
Reddit, where the following potential
LEGO BrickHeadz sets are named:
The list seems to contain a bunch of likely sets, all based on licencing partners that the
LEGO Group has a relationship with. A single release
41629 Boba Fett was also mentioned when the exclusive Comic Con version
was released last year.
Jack Skellington and Sally also seems plausible, as LEGO BrickHeadz is a theme that visits some slightly more obscure properties – and The Nightmate Before Christmas has a commited cult following.
After the release of the
Back to the Future inspired 41611 Marty McFly and Doc Brown set, Ghostbusters seems an extremely likely candidate for a set, suggesting that the LEGO Group is putting all of that market research from the Ideas platform to good use. So it would not be fanciful to expect to see Peter Venkman and Slimer get represented in the angular format.
All rumours should be treated as such until officially confirmed by the LEGO Group.
