A long since retired LEGO Icons set is back in stock at Walmart, but you’ll need to jump to lightspeed if you want to grab 10497 Galaxy Explorer.
When it comes to great deals on many must-have LEGO sets, Walmart knows a thing or two about saving you some cash. The retailer also often has long since retired models popping back in stock from time to time, such as the returning 10497 Galaxy Explorer priced at $100.
The LEGO Icons set retired at the end of 2023, making it a little harder for fans to pick up the retro classic LEGO Space build. 10497 Galaxy Explorer was released to celebrate the LEGO Group’s 90th anniversary in 2022 and is itself a brick-built homage to 497 Galaxy Explorer.

With 1,254 pieces, the LEGO Icons set increases the scale of the original model, adding a retractable ramp, a surface rover, living quarters and a sliding door to allow access to the ship’s interior areas. 10497 Galaxy Explorer also includes four astronaut minifigures (two red and two white), their robot helper and multiple accessories.
We don’t know how long 10497 Galaxy Explorer will remain in stock at Walmart, so be sure to head to the retailer’s site now and grab your copy of the LEGO Icons set. Standard delivery within the US is free for this model and your order should arrive within two days or you can pick up your purchase from your local Walmart store.
