At least one character rumoured to be included in the next round of Marvel Collectible Minifigures could be based on an unreleased TV show.
Now that we've seen a rumoured list of minifigures for the reported second series of Marvel Collectible Minifigures, as well as more rumoured details reported by brick_clicker, it seems that one minifigure will offer a sneak peek at one character before she appears in her TV show. While Echo appeared as a secondary antagonist in Hawkeye, brick_clicker claims that the minifigure version of Echo will be based on her titular show, rather than the Hawkeye series.
With the wave of Collectible Minifigures believed to release on September 1, 2023 (exactly a year after 71031 Marvel Studios), that's a full three months before the expected release date of Echo, coming to Disney+ on November 29, 2023.
While this rumour hasn't been confirmed by the LEGO Group, this could well suggest we'll see Echo in different clothing. Alaqua Cox will reprise her role as Maya Lopez (aka Echo), but the show is believed to tackle her origin story, taking her out of New York City and back to her hometown to get to grips with her Native American roots.
Whether this heritage will be reflected in her costume during the show and the corresponding minifigure seen in the rumoured Marvel CMFs remains to seen. Nonetheless, judging from what we've heard about the upcoming collection, this will be the only character based on an unseen TV show at the time of release. Other characters included are Agatha, based on 2020's WandaVision, and characters from more recent releases, like Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania, and Hawkeye.
