Spider-Man 4 and Spider-Verse 3 tee up LEGO Marvel’s schedule for 2026 and beyond

Sony has announced release dates for two upcoming Spider-Man films at CinemaCon, teeing up LEGO Marvel’s schedule for the next couple of years.

LEGO Marvel has gradually detached itself from the current Marvel Cinematic Universe slate over the past few years, tossing out one or two requisite sets for selected movies while putting most of its focus on the Infinity Saga (also known as ‘back when the MCU was good’). But the exception to the rule is likely to be Marvel’s friendly neighbourhood wall-crawler, who’s set to return to the silver screen in 2026 and 2027.

Spider-Man is to LEGO Marvel what Batman is to LEGO DC, which is to say the pillar around which the rest of the theme is formed, and is essentially never absent from shelves. The web-slinger clearly still has a lot of draw for LEGO Marvel’s target audience, and with this year’s dive into the Spider-Verse in 76311 Miles Morales vs. the Spot, sets hooked to both upcoming Spidey films seem like a shoo-in.

Those are the live-action Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the animated Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, a pair of sequels that will continue their respective universes over the next couple of years. Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker in Brand New Day on July 31, 2026, while Phil Lord and Chris Miller will complete their Spider-trilogy in Beyond the Spider-Verse on June 4, 2027.

Sony has yet to confirm much more about either of these films, but given Across the Spider-Verse’s cliffhanger ending it’s not difficult to assume we’ll be sticking with a similar cast of characters for the finale. Brand New Day borrows its title from a comic run that kicked off in 2008, in which Mephisto erased segments of Peter Parker’s life and forced him to start from scratch – a premise already explored at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Either way, the safe money at this stage is on LEGO Spider-Man: Brand New Day and LEGO Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse sets coming to shelves in 2026 and 2027 respectively. The LEGO Group managed to conjure up a handful of tie-in sets for No Way Home with virtually zero plot details to go on (and has since filled in the gaps with a pair of excellent companion models), and while it’s a little late to the Spider-Verse party, it’s at least got a foot in the door now.

You can check that out for yourself through 76311 Miles Morales vs. the Spot, which is available now. CinemaCon runs through April 3 and will likely include at least a couple more announcements that are relevant to LEGO fans, with panels still to come from Warner Bros., Universal Pictures, Disney and Marvel.
