The first full trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu, the next Star Wars movie due for release in 2026, has been officially revealed.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is due for release in May 2026, with this trailer being the longest official look at the movie yet. Directed by Jon Favreau and co-written by him and Dave Filoni, the film continues the story of Din Djarin and Grogu beyond the hit Disney+ TV show. So far, we know that the premise will follow the efforts of the New Republic to squash the remaining Imperial loyalists and warlords, enlisting the help of the bounty hunter and his young apprentice to do so.
The trailer opens with enough to get Mando fans interested: the return of the Razor Crest. It's quickly followed up by Grogu being his usual adorable self, even trying to steal food from another big star of the film, Sigourney Weaver.
Other highlights from the trailer include Grogu showing a lot more agility than he has done previously, flipping and even swimming his way onto the big screen. We've got our first proper look at Rotta the Hutt, seemingly fighting his way through a gladiatorial-style battle. There are plenty of Star Wars beasts and even an exploding AT-AT falling off a cliff. While it doesn't give us many further clues as to the plot, it does promise plenty of action is on its way.
It's action that could hopefully translate into LEGO Star Wars sets, with plenty of possibilities for future models – including the return of a brick-built Razor Crest first and foremost. Check out the trailer in full by clicking the embedded video below.
