Tell Brick Search what you thought about LEGO Collectible Minifigures in 2024

Brick Search wants your opinions on LEGO Collectible Minifigures in 2024, your experiences finding the minifigures you wanted – and where you hope CMFs and the app with the minifigure scanner will go next.

To do that, Brick Search is launching the Collectible Minifigures 2024 survey, looking back on a banner year for LEGO CMFs that unofficially started with the chaos of truly blind box packaging of Marvel Series 2, before January’s Series 25 presented a solution of scannable codes midway through production, continued through the popular Space series of the spring and ended with the Dungeons & Dragons series released in the autumn. Now, as we pause and await the first CMFs of 2025 to be officially revealed and then hit the shelves, we want to get your take on the state of CMFs in 2024 and beyond.

This was the year of scannable codes – and the Brick Search minifigure scanner, which made it simple to identify what was inside the box. But how did that impact you, the LEGO lover reading this? Did you find you spent less money collecting minifigures in 2024 than in previous years? Or did the convenience of Brick Search’s minifigure scanner encourage you to spend more on your minifigures? What was the good and bad of minifigure collecting in 2024 – and what do you hope to see in the future?

These questions – and a few more – can be found in the survey. It should take about 20 minutes to complete and will give us an insight into how scannable codes changed the way LEGO fans interact with the CMF theme. Did it change for the better, for the worse or not change at all?

There are four sections: You as a LEGO fan; your experiences using a minifigure scanner in 2024 (or not, as the case may be); your experiences buying LEGO CMFs in general; and your thoughts on the Brick Search app – we think it’s pretty good, but we are biased. Tell us, honestly, what you like, don’t like so much and what you’d like to see in the future. We won’t take it personally…

Why is Brick Search running a survey now?

The Brick Search app is made by LEGO fans, for LEGO fans, and that means asking LEGO fans what they think. The LEGO community is made up of people from myriad backgrounds, with differing experiences of what it means to be a LEGO fans, and differing visions of what being a LEGO fan should look like in the months and years to come.

The Collectible Minifigures survey launching today is just one part of what will be an emphasis on engaging with the LEGO community in greater depth in the future and when we say we want to know what you think, we mean it. We came up with the revolutionary minifigure scanner because we saw LEGO fans had a problem with identifying minifigures in blind boxes, and we were able to do something about it. We believe – and hopefully you agree – the minifigure scanner changed CMF collecting for the better, and we don’t want to stop there.
