Both Daredevil and Punisher only appear as official LEGO minifigures in the £299.99 / $349.99 / €349.99 build as two of the 25 minifigures, though many more were originally planned. Though these minifigures are based on their appearances in Marvel comics, they tie nicely into the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series coming to Disney+ on March 4.
The release of these characters in the 2021 LEGO Marvel model is likely to have been fuelled by their increased popularity following their appearance in the original Netflix Daredevil series. The use of their comic outfits might be because the MCU versions are too violent for LEGO minifigures. That level of violence continues in the new series, possibly dissuading the LEGO Group from returning to the characters with updated MCU minifigures ever since.
